The basic design brief given to me was that a logo was required that represented her as a practitioner.  It had to be feminine, show the muscles/ligaments of the body, preferably a female body, use the colours red and orange as a point of difference ( as a large number of existing businesses in the area have logos in blues/greens/purples).  

It was definately challenging creating this logo without overdoing the muscular detail. I have taken a lot of liberties with muscle/ligament/skeleton shapes to create an effect that is easy on the eye and has flow as well as some recognisable shapes.

The business name change was important as it was felt that the existing name 'Functional Bodywork Clinic' didn't adequately describe the business function. We brainstormed and came up with Functional Neuromuscular Massage Therapy. It was important to have the words 'Massage Therapy' as well as referencing the neuromuscular physicality of the body.
