An organic, sculptural form experiment. This remix is inspired by the organic language of natural world, the aesthetics of materials science, biological engineering, and drawing.

The medium of drawing is primary, dynamic, and relevant to contemporary culture. This project translates the process of drawing spatially, through software, to create gestural sculpture. 

The Adobe logo is angular, flat and mathematic. This remix approaches the iconic Adobe mark with an organic and sculptural approach, informed by an improvisational drawing process. Transitioning from paper to software, the “canvas” of the piece was created by extruding the edges of the Adobe logo into a 3d model. The surface of the model was then used as a point of contact for the drawing organic line-work, from which a new model was then generated, lit and textured. 

The Adobe Logo, in its geometric and iconic perfection, was a formidable shape of origin. The planar and mathematical provided a contrast to the organic and improvisational creative process and, as a result, a challenging foundation for this visual exercise.
