HOSPITALITY PROJECT -BOUTIQUE HOTEL

To design a boutique hotel  bases on Jaipur Rajputana theme extended to 2 floor interior space with total area of 27,000 sq. ft. catering to foreigners located on Jaipur.

The idea is to create the boutique hotel which has influence of the Jaipur at the time of Rajputs, by showcasing the architecture, art, culture of the Jaipur. The purpose of the design is  to give feel and experience of the Rajputana period.

Main architectural elements of the Jaipur is jaali, arches, Chattris , at the time of Rajputs arches were used in rectangular framing. Architectural elements used in hotel in the form of windows, jali. Windows are in the form of arches.  Floral were used in the paintings. Fountains are also specialty at that time flowing in different speed. Chandelier are commonly used at that time. Use of chandelier in  the hotel. Wall lights are inspired from the sword of Rajputs. Furniture also have influence of the Rajputana time.
Décor elements used in the boutique hotel inspired from the different palaces and fort built by Rajputs.
Marble used for the flooring is Makrana and black marble because of the easy availability and the use of the marble at the time of Rajputs also.
As Jaipur is also known as pink city , because of the mythology of people that, Singh wanted to imitate the color of the sandstone used in the forts and palaces of his Mughal emperor-friends. And pink is the traditional color of hospitality, and the city was freshly painted and paved with pink gravel to warmly welcome Edward VII for his visit here in 1876.
To give the look and feel of the space, color theme of the boutique hotel should be tones of pink, which give the experience of the forts and palaces. At the same time restaurant theme is inspired from the peacock, as we can see of the influence of peacock at the Rajputana time. Chandramahal at city palace has four gates depicting four seasons through peacock. Restaurant has café extension and also connected with lobby passage , seating area given at the passage with books unit.
