The Center Theatre Group edition of Performances magazine is distributed to audience members before every performance of every production at the 1,2000-seat Ahmanson Theatre and 700-seat Mark Taper Forum in Downtown Los Angeles, and the 300-seat Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. To coincide with CTG's corporate rebrand, the direction of Performances got a much needed re-invention. Gone went the strict templated layout and dry articles. The new Performances speaks with a lively, engaging voice with a design that matches that spirit. With a mix of big pull quotes, engaging color and black & white photography and varied page layouts, the new look is inviting, editorial, varied, human.
