TaMe - Inspiring community interaction through green intervention

My individual research-led design project based on local community - Woodland Community Garden in Glasgow

The willingness to venture beyond the boundaries of the biophysical functions of greenery to improve community interaction, originates from the "limited space for greenery" in urban area and "social isolation" accompanying, concerning both social and biophysical contexts of the environment.

TaMe is a platform run by community garden that inspires individual-interaction and involvement in shaping community environment. It taps into a growing desire to look after derelict wee patch of lands and share gardening experience, embodied on its main spaces integration- allocation function and additional knowledge and experience shared functions. TaMe works in the form of a digital screen in front of the Woodlands creative hub and can be connected to smart-phones.

“TaMe” the wilderness to live up to the origins of Glasgow’s Gaelic name - “The Dear Green Place'”. And also express “Ta”, which means thanks in Gaelic, to people who choose to take care for the environment.
