So, last year I was going through a rough patch with depression and I realized that the best thing I could do was get out of the house.  If you know depression you may realize that can be a tremendous task, sometimes it takes everything I have to let the dog out.  After coming to this realization, I locked the door, got in my car, and drove to Ohiopyle, one of my favorite parks.
I didn't bring a camera, my phone, wallet, or any kind of technology.  I needed to unplug.  I walked around for hours, taking in the scenery, just enjoying being away from it all.  There is something about nature and being in it that calms me.  Sometimes its a realizing that our problems are small and we blow them out of proportion; or that we need to go back to our roots and realize we are not going to be here forever and our time is limited that can help us move forward when we thought we were standing still.
When I got home I took a picture in front of my desk and blended it with some images of nature and trees. Its funny what you can accomplish with nothing on your mind.
