British Army - Operation Gritrock

One of the projects I have been most proud to work on was for the British Army - OPERATION GRITROCK. When the Ebola crisis struck in 2014 in West Africa the British Army launched this effort to set up treatment centres in Sierra Leone to treat aid workers who could then go on to treat those in need.

We were given the brief by the Army to create an el-earning portal which army recruits would be able to access via desktop and mobile which would give them access to training videos on how to prepare for working in the treatment centres. This was critically important as any wrong move could be deadly as they could have no contact with anything on site so watching these videos and being instructed on how to dress up and down was important.

I was the designer for the portal which was in the Army’s brand style. I also designed the supporting content such as the infographic below explaining the full story as well designing and creating a short video which summed everything up. These pieces of collateral were used to submit to awards which so far the application has won the 2015 e-learning award.
