Introduction to Queer Algorithms, Layout & Publishing

Introduction to Queer Algorithms was commissioned to me by Rene Galvan, a Brown University graduate as part of his thesis. The book spanned a total of 141 pages. The following pages were part of the design process that I started with before I was given content to work with.

As you can see, the book dealt with heavy emphasis on queer and mathematical themes, so I designed the book to have an overall rainbow feel to it, while also using cold, calculated muted colors. Many of the typefaces seen in the book were chosen for their science-y feel, in particular the Titillium font that is currently being used by NASA.
