Harkins Theatres Web Redesign

As the primary content developer on this project, I had the privilege of collaborating with all creative and back-end disciplines to create a smooth, simple and entertaining user experience. Beginning with input from customer focus groups and the client's executive team, I developed this sitemap as a project tracking tool and creative roadmap. We used it to balance the large volume of ideas and assets pouring in from multiple contractors and in-house contributors with the client's stated business objectives and what the end users said they wanted from their web visits.

Our team also did an exhaustive competitive study and market analysis before launching the creative phase of the project. Every element has a functional reason to be where it is in addition to its artistic purpose. There were over 20 versions of the navigation bar alone and countless iterations on the backgrounds and headers. In addition to writing a lot of the copy for the launch version of this site, I also organized and facilitated the customer focus groups and surveys and delivered the findings to the client executive team.

Harkins has been through a few rounds of front end and back end updates since I worked on the site, but I was gratified to see that some of my original "about" copy was brought forward to the new design! You can see it by following the link just below.

The new page layout we created streamlined the user experience and delivered a big conversion boost
