That morning, the approach of the huge creature awoke the village with a jump. Residents left their homes and became paralyzed in the face of its magnitude. The dragon was used to breathing fire and causing havoc and everyone feared the worst, but when it opened its mouth, petals of the most beautiful flowers began pouring out. To this day nobody knows for sure why, but many say it was in love.

Times were difficult in that town. The drought had taken away the beauty of the landscape and also the smiles from people´s faces. It had been months since anyone had last smiled. Then a visit surprised its inhabitants: the circus. It advertised the greatest show on earth and that attracted everyone to the big presentation. Once the laughter began, something magical happened: raindrops began to fall from the sky. The more people laughed, the more it rained. The next day, the drought was over and the circus was gone; but the joy brought by it changed the lives of those people forever.

The man who spoke to birds did not speak to anyone else. He seemed not to understand words, even the most banal. Instead of talking, he whistled. His whistling was heard by birds of all types and they responded by singing. There was something magical in that communication. Little is known about this man who showed such knowledge about birds, only that he had not studied, on the contrary, he was barely literate. However, the Man of Birds, as he became known, did once speak with words, but it was not a teacher who was responsible for this; it was a parrot named Song.

The yellow house on Charms Road drew the attention of whoever passed by. Not for its looks, but by the soft music that came out of its windows every morning. They were such sublime sounds that more and more people went out of their way to listen to them, although no one was ever seen at the window. Before long, the road adopted the name of String Street and just  below the sign saying the street name, it reads;
A tribute to the guitarist with a single string.

Anyone who has ever seen the Dreamers Football Club play, remembers with a sparkle in their eye the team’s days of glory that mesmerized the crowds.  On game day, the whole town got in a frenzy to see the legendary team that never lost a game.
In the neighbouring towns one could hear the chanting of the supporters fill the air on  many a Sunday.  The team played as if by magic.
Like all good magic, the mystery has never been revealed.
It is a popular belief that the center forward, known as Poet, made inspiring speeches before the matches, and that he even dreamt of the passes that resulted in goals.
It was an opposing team’s nightmare.
