IDEATION
Drawing inspiration from the design masters, Frank Gehry and Syd Mead, I set out to design hearing aids that users could consider an accessory, and not something they want to hide. The following are some of my sketches throughout the process.
FINAL DESIGN
The final design is a wrap around hearing aid, with an LED bar that lights red to remind the user when to it's time to change the batteries. The charging station is a cradle, and continuation of the ear-piece's form. While charging the LED will change to green when it is fully charged. The form has a futuristic vibe so that the user can feel more like a cyber enhanced person, than simply someone with a handicap.
