Conceptual Strategies For the Physical World

Semester 1A
Conceptual Strategies for the Physical World
This design studio focused on building a foundation in spatial problem-solving through a series of two and three dimensional problems. Analytical and intuitive operations were utilized to transform abstract images into organized, physical models constructed with various materials. The relationship between conceptualizing and the process of making was significant since there was a connection between each of the semester projects.  Individual and group models would then become no less than experimental architecture, with the final installation tracing its roots to the initial two dimensional patterns completed in the first assignment.
