„Harenda”
Harenda jest to dzielnica Zakopanego, w której mieści się dom plenerowy Krakowskiej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych. Odbywają się tam plenery malarskie, projektowe, rzeźbiarskie i rysunkowe. Zaprezentowana rzeźba jest owocem mojej inspiracji tą małą miejscowością podczas pleneru rzeźbiarsko-projektowego. Źródłem inspiracji były naturalne materiały użyte do budowy domów, bacówek, szop itp, które nawiązują do strzelistości gór, ich obronności, masy oraz potęgi. Wszystko w górach jest ostrzejsze, bardziej klarowne. Z biegiem lat naturalne materiały są zastępowane sztucznymi odpowiednikami lub sztucznie modyfikowane i przerabiane. W rzeźbie zaznaczyłem to kontrastując naturalne gałęzie z bambusowymi wykałaczkami. Tym zabiegiem zwróciłem uwagę na piękno naturalnego, nie hodowanego wielkimi partiami drzewa z bambusem - materiałem równie estetycznym, lecz w naszym klimacie nie spotykanym. Układ i kompozycja obiektu jest inspirowana zbitą masą dachów miejscowości tuż przy Zakopanem. Kiedy wejdziemy na górę na Harendzie zobaczymy masy strzelistych dachów, chcących się porównać z ogromnymi w tej skali Tatrami. Połączenie tęsknoty za naturą i podziwem autorytetu.
Harenda
Harenda is the neighbourhood of Zakopane, where the plein-air house owned by Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków is located. It is the place of painting, drawing, design and sculpture workshops. The presented sculpture is the result of my stay in this small neighbourhood during a sculpture and design workshop. My inspiration derives from natural materials used for building local houses, sheds, bacówkas (shepherd's houses), etc., that refer to the soaring mountains-mighty, massive and defensive. In the mountains everything is sharper and more transparent. As the time flows, natural materials are artificially modified or replaced with man-made ones. In this sculpture I noted it by contrasting real wooden sticks with bamboo toothpicks. By doing that, I drew the attention to the beauty of raw wood instead of bamboo-having similar aesthetic qualities, yet uncharacteristic of Polish climate. The composition and setting are modelled after dense packing of roofs in local areas of Zakopane.
If we climb up on the Harenda Mountain, we'll see those amounts of soaring roofs seemingly
trying to compare themselves with gigantic, in this scale, Tatra Moutains.
