Illustrator projects

These are probably my best Illustrator works.
This is self portrait i made using the gradient mesh tool.
diagram of the human heart using nothing more than the pen, line, and type tools
This was something that I just felt like doing. It's a recreation of The Face of Jesus. I see the pen tool for this.
Another recreation I did for a class assignment. I was to recreate a piece done by a well known artist or graphic designer.
I decided to do one of my favorite childhood artist/writer's. Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpiller. This was done by using mainly the circle tool, followed by the pen tool to misshapen the segments, and the gradient tool like crazy. And YES! I am aware of the misspelling at the top. I will fix it as soon as I'm able to get the complete Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 for my laptop.
This is a tri-fold menu that a client asked me to design for him. He runs a roadside taco stand here in Lakeland, Fl. called
Taco Express. The menu he had didn't exactly say Mexican food. I did the menu in color and Black and White, then loaded them on a flash drive to give him so he could decide which liked more. If you're ever in Lakeland, Fl. And you're driving down U.S. Highway 98 S going towards Bartow. It'll be on the left. They make some of the best Mexican food i've EVER had. AND NO THE TEXT IS NOT STRETCHED!! It normally looks like that.

The above image is the outside, while the image just below was the inside.
One of my favorite Illustrator pieces. I had to do a poster for a Jazz festival in Lakeland, Fl. I decided to focus on who I believe to be the "heaviest hitters" in Jazz history. This project was created using mostly the pen tool and took an ENTIRE MONTH just to get the faces to look like the real things.
My friends and I had been talking about starting our own wrestling company called EPW (Eaton Park Wrestling). So when I discovered that I had a class project where I had to create a poster for an existing or made up event or company, the decision had pretty much already made itself. I know what some of you are asking "WHY OH WHY DID HE USE OLD ENGLISH? AND WHY THE SCRATCHY  FONT?" The answer is simple. My best friend's name is Robert Earl Oakley, or REO. He used to wrestle under that name for an organization known as IPW a few years ago. He has his initials tattooed on his left shoulder in Old English. The "scratchy" font is self explained by reading the name "The Psycho" Asylum.
Taaa Daaaaaa. Oh and no this is not a real company. Like I said, we had been discussing it. It never happened.
