International Poster Contest 2015-2016

This is New Journey - my artwork for International Poster Contest "To Death with a smile" 2015 - 2016.
It's chosen as one of 402 finalist posters and now exhibited in Mumedi Museum (Mexico City).

The contest is about death, a personal consideration or approach, the meaning in our own culture, how we fear, celebrate or deal with it. It can be reflected in serious or playful way.

In my point of view, death is when the spirit abandons the body and starts its new journey to a new land where we can't feel by our normal five senses. In other words, death isn't the end, it's a beginning.
However, say-it-all-and-say-it-straight isn't my style. I leave a hidden meaning in the subject "I" of the tagline.

The exhibition is open to the public from the 1st day of November 2015 and the end of February 2016.
In November 2016, a selection of some of the best posters from the collection will be exhibited in Madrid, Spain.
And in 2017 a more extensive selection will be made into a poster museum in the city of Lahti in Finland.
