There were Five Projects the fall semester of 2015, all of which were needed in order to complete the fifth and final project of the semester. Through research on a selected system (water), transect, and site (1527 Walnut Street) in center city Philadelphia, this assisted us individually to design a farm-to-table restaurant/market that would fit in with the surroundings of center city Philadelphia, PA.
Project 1: Systems
It was our job as designers to work in groups and find out as much information as we can about our selected system. Through research, my partner and I found how unclean the water in Philadelphia is which is mostly due to storm water runoff and the way the water is filtrated
The graph shows the trend of deaths per year based on the fact that the water in center city was not filtrated properly
Even though it is filtrated more efficiently today, the water still contains particles of unwanted waste.

Project 2: Transect, Butt Out
The goal of this group project is to map out a problem that occurs frequently in Center City. My group and I mapped out the amount of cigarette butts on the sidewalks and the coorelation it has with the amount of smoker poles on the streets. Which shows how busy each area is.

Project 3: Pop Up; Reaching New Heights
The goal of this one week pop up project was an introduction to our site in center city for the rest of the semester. My installation consists of two steel framed hands reaching towards one another that support a shadow box theater for all to enjoy the shadows projected onto the site of 1527 Walnut Street.
Graphics of the hands positioned in such a way to create shadows and support this theater through a cats cradle method.
Project 4: Program
Our final project was decided during this two week class wide collaboration. We dictated what belongs on this site based on the high retail area that consists of fast food. We have hopes of creating a market and restaurant that would in hopes teach people about healthy food.

Project 5: The Green Divide
The final two month project had many itterations to get to where it ended up. I designed a market and restaurant that integrates itself into a park to give people the chance to slow down and eduate themselves on healthy food. The spaces are dictated by 3 main vertical living walls  that grow the food that the restaurant uses. These three walls run through each floor of the building.
