Branding for lawyers poses a few obstacles, as apparently there are many images that are simply forbidden. With that in mind, we're left to convey whatever we have to through typography and colour.
 
This lawyer, in particular, was looking to break some of the overly traditional sumptuous-looking lawyer firm and professional branding. For that, I looked for a serif typography that was not humanistic, and had a very strong metric and contrast. I also chose to keep the general rectangular look to inspire more solidity. In line with the quadrilateral theme, a small square with an outlined frame separare the professional's initial from his surname.
 
It was a very masculine brand to work with, so blacks and greys were my primary choice, and the rich white breathing space has been used to add elegance, transparency and distinction. I broke the monotonous black-and-white with an occasional dark red, which is also the symbolic colour of law.
