This project is called Music Note and it's about how music is something that always speaks to me and inspires me. This project fits my series because a music note resembles music and it creates the different types of music today like pop, country, and even symphonies. Three elements of art that were incorporated with this project were color, shape, and texture. Color was an element because of the purples, green and black incorporated within the artwork. Shape was an element because of the shape the music note gives where it's rounded but still has lines. Texture was a element because the paint on the artwork gives it a more rough feeling to it. Three PoDs are contrast, proportion, and emphasis. Contrast is a PoD because of the different highlights the lighter purple gives the darker purple on the music note. Proportion is a PoD because the size of the music note gives the size of the paper the right look and it doesn't over do it too much. Emphasis is a PoD because the music note is highlighted to show the whole idea of music and something that has a huge background for it. A problem I had with this project was getting the black sharpie to show up very good on the border of the paper. Something I did well on the project was blend the highlights of the purple together with the dark purple. Music is a lot of expressions and feelings put into words where sometimes you just can't say it and I've had a lot of those times. That's why music has always spoken to me. Techniques I used where blending the purples when the paint is not dry and drawing everything out before I painted. Without music notes there is no music and the way that music comes to life is very inspiring to me.
