Dimidiated Orbicular Desk
This desk combines craftsmanship with artistry in a simple yet elegant design — a dramatic semi-circular solid zebrawood top sitting on a curved walnut base. The zebrawood boards are sanded to a high polish and luster magnifying the dark and light zebrawood stripes that run the length of the top; and the sculpted edge reveals the true beauty of solid wood in the beautiful pattern of the grain. Finally the walnut base has sliding zebrawood pegs, an innovative construction technique that brings flare to the piece while allowing for seasonal wood movement. This desk brings a high end, contemporary and stylish presence to a variety of locations, including business or home office, and reception area. It is a very flexible design that can be sized for any space and modified in many ways including drawers, doors, and adjustable shelves. It can also be built using a multitude of woods. Multiple coats of hand-rubbed, tung oil based finish create a very durable surface. Dimensions: 64" x 32" x 30 1/2".
