This summer, after days of convincing, researching, and creating itineraries, my father and I went on vacation in Los Angeles. I love that city. I knew I would and that's why I wouldn't give up trying to show my dad that it's someplace special. I planned the entire trip (which was 7 days) and we both absolutely loved it. We met the voice actor of Spongebob, talked to a Cooper-Hewitt winner, saw a beautifully composed documentery at a non-profit theatre (the movie's called 'Call Me Lucky'), strolled around Echo Park, shopped at Silverlake, and ate the most delicious meals I've ever had, all at places of my own personal selection. It was an absolute blast. I took over 1000 photos and I used some of them to make the collage above. There's the Ace Hotel (where we stayed for half the trip), a wall from LACMA, some palm trees, a street sign, the sky from the plane, me, and some other odds and ends. I can't recommend that city enough! It's a treasure trove of unforgettably wonderful experiences, if you know where to look.
