CHENGDU ZOUJIACHANG VISION MASTERPLAN
Masterplan - Chengdu, China-2010
This mixed use development vision plan for the Zoujiachang district in the West Chengdu, in which aimed to create an iconic regional destination, and a “New Urban-Eco Village” as a future attraction servicing the district.
The proposal of “New Urban-Eco Village” strategizes the combination of integration and revitalization. The concept is to “integrate” the existing environment as well as the local natural resources and the residence, and further “revitalize” the industries. By unifying the leisure and commercial activities to upgrade the agriculture, as a result to achieve the promotion of the district and establish an economic driving force to develop the district and maintain a sustainable development within the peripheral area.
The design approach focuses on setting up of the 2 nodal entry gateways, creating a good road network, providing diversified neighbourhoods, and incorporating an interconnected open space system close to the proximity and a dynamic skyline, to establish the strong district image as well as creating a world-class urban image.
