The brief was to create a modular unit that when combined would fit the ever changing needs of a workshops environment. The outcome was to be an open source design that would benifit the needs of people everywhere.

Responding to the request of CCCB, the IAAC design team proposed several design options. The finalising of the design, apart from aesthetics, was based on the strenght and sturdiness of the units, as it was to be extensively used by thousands of people through time. The assembly time, material usage and laser cutting time of the plywood boards was also taken into account, and the design that best responded to all of these parameters manufactured and hands on assembled by the team.
