Synopsis
The student population of this rural school has remained relatively constant, however the original school building and classrooms which are located on the site are outdated and do not meet the needs of modern teaching requirements.
Proposed scheme
The existing school site consists of two areas; the first area faces out onto the main road, whilst the other area is located at the back of the site. The school extension will be located in this second area. Both areas are linked by a very narrow corridor or 'pinch point'. The proposed school block extension is 386sq.m in area and consists of four classrooms together with associated ancillary accomodation. Alterations to the original school classrooms are included as part of the works also.
