Regenerative Network

This work has been produced during my exchange experience in Korea, it is located in the north of the city of Seoul and intends to redevelop an area currently used as a storage space.
Our concept involves the application of an irregular mesh , a web that is noted on the ground thanks to a differentiation of materials .
The web should , as happens in the nervous tissue , connect the periphery to points of common interest , neurons , such as squares , and multi-purpose areas.
As a result, there are three focal points in the project: the square gradient northeast that descends gradually ending up in an underground passage that connects the park beyond the road with the new district, the large communal building for the community with walkable green roof and the theater open to the southwest of the area.
Regarding the residential part, the buildings differ in two types: tower buildings to increase the number of housing units and blocks.
The blocks are characterized by a green roof and a natural trend that eventually connect to the tower buildings in a plane used for semi-public activities.
In addition, these blocks rest on pillars that allow pedestrian access.
The building’s sectors are characterized by an irregular perforated pattern to give movement to the facade, in fact, thanks to the modularity of the units, is possible to change the composition of each floor.
