STATUS    Concept

I was part of a team at Hassell Perth to deliver the Concept Design and masterplan of the old Perth Hyatt Regency Hotel for a competition to revitilise its brand as a landmark destination. By re sculpting a new hotel, apartment and office towers in the Perth skyline, and creating opportunities on the podium level with retail, food and beverage and entertainment district to maximise future pedestrian traffic.

KEY PRINCIPLES
-Re-establish the Hyatt Regency hotel as a landmark destination.
-Maximise opportunities resulting from future pedestrian traffic.
-Minimise disruption to existing hotel and office uses.
-Create an active ground-plane to justify maxising building heights.
-Sculpt new landmark tower forms to shape the Perth sky-line
-Enhance public spaces with integrated Landscape Architecture.
-Office spaces designed to reflect current and future market requirements
-Maximise views from existing buildings and new construction
