Booth for Viewbook 2013
(NOTES) Instead of using a standardized frame which usually produces a very closed atmosphere, I decided to open up the space by using 7m. high banners which are backlit like a screen with a basic animation of fore- and background. By changing the light (remotely controlled), different atmospheres could be created on the giant 'screen' and dimmed down for a public demo of Viewbook. Modular approach. Compact, easy to assemble and disassemble. A floor, 3 screens that are designed as flightcases. Curtains that roll up.

Together with Bram Oosterhuis we designed 'bezels' for the different screen sizes and put on poles to get them floating in front of the backdrop. The stools are designed by Bram Oosterhuis, with the rounded corners form a unity with the icons. To create an identifier icons have been cut out of the seats. The booth tries to generate an open and inviting space to sit down, have some tea and a short informal chat while walking around the visual noise of products and crowds on photography fairs.

Materials used: 6 x 7 m. banners. 3 Apple macmini's, a 7", 32" and 65" TV Screen, xxx Watt Led light. Cable wiring is hidden underneath the floor.
