Gamelab AMX Interface

There are numerous marvels within the James B. Hunt Jr. Library, and one of them is the beautiful Game Lab located on the third floor. A massive HD screen made of microtiles linked to over a dozen gaming systems and computers sits on the front wall, capable of handling eight simultaneous feed inputs. The walls are double-paned insulatory glass that turn opaque or clear at the switch of a button. Four different LED strips with a huge range of colors dot the ceiling while beautiful HD speakers and subwoofers sit around the center screen. Did I mention the screen was touch-sensitive? All of this makes the Game Lab a revolutionary space, but all of these capabilities need to be controlled.
The AMX Tablet is a single-touch piece of hardware wired to connect to all of the Game Lab's systems. The entire functionality of the AMX system, as well as the entire aesthetic and all of the graphics were developed by myself and colleague Jordan Lang over the course of a few months. It allows for full manipulation of the Game Room's assets in a few simple and intuitive screens, while also providing pre-set options for those who want to use the room for something quick like a presentation or a quick round of their favorite video game.
