ERGONOMIC GAMEPAD

This project was initially a report. The purpose of it was to choose an object and redesign it, making it more user-friendly and ergonomic. I chose to re-design an object that I own and that is important to me which is the Xbox 360 gamepad. Since I was little I have always been interested in video gaming. I know the console very well, which pushed me to do the report on the gamepad because i knew what the flaws of the controller were and the idea of finding solutions excited me. 
The Xbox gamepad is already very well designed in terms of ergonomics. It is one of the leading console brands, and to me is the best in making good products in the world of gaming. It targets most people, regardless of gender, age or interests. This made it quite tough when re-designing the gamepad. I did my best to focus on people with disabilities or impairments to improve the product. I mostly focused my attention on people with vision difficulties, including colour blindness. This is why I decided to get rid of the use of colours of the buttons and increased the font size of the buttons. 
The re-designed product is also a luxurious gamepad. It has better materials and sticks to the brand identity quite well. Experienced users will find the grips on the shoudlers help the sweaty hands case. The generous use of chrome adds to the feeling of enjoyment when playing Xbox 360.
