Vodafone - Dublin GAA Outdoor 'Football'
A series of iconic outdoor ads that ran throughout the football and hurling season 2011. The shots were taken in Parnell Park on a cold April evening. Photography by the very talented Adrian Stewart.
Here we see 2010 footballer of the year Bernard Brogan bringing a level of intensity to training that would bode well for the campaign ahead.
One of the things that makes the ads in this series stand out, I think, is the absence of the Vodafone 'Tetris', which is that red text box you see on any Vodafone outdoor or print work. The use of the simple logo to compliment the Dublin GAA crest is subtler - something that seems appropriate for a relatively new sponsor.
