A Pavilion for Light

A Pavilion for Light
A public structure for Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art
Using Rhino modeling tools and Maxwell rendering software, these models were created during a summer software class leading into a Master's of Architecture with Emphasis in Interior Architecture program. Inspiration came from installations like Christo's Umbrellas and the ginko leaf. The delicate flower like umbrella structures were realized and explored through use of a CNC mill and Vacuum Former.
