Airbus A321X Interior

Anyone who has flown economy class can relate to the same problems: limited legroom and overall lack of comfort. Backed by several design research methods, this concept of the Airbus A321 interior redesign solves for those problems. Through extensive research, we were able to use the dimensions of the currently manufactured airplane interior and add more seats, with more legroom, on the same airplane.
First the problems were defined. Based on research findings, frequenices were dsicovered into what people desired when flying economy class.
Another phase was determining what could be done with the dimensions of the aircraft that already existed. After several attempts of restructuring the floorplan, the most efficient way concept (shown above) was to organize seats in a radial pattern thus allowing us to add more seats overall (with many of them being larger than the previous seats in the old design), and creating interior spaces for more business class seats.
The seats are now larger, and there are more of them. This allows the ariline to sell more seats on the same plane, while giving the passengers more comfort.
