This project represents a sports team logo that I made up. Below you will see the steps I did in order to create this logo, including a few applications I added on to help imagine what my logo would look like on football jerseys, the team's personal football, and fan clothing.

Rough Sketch
I created my first rough sketch of my original image by tracing over the image and used simple strokes and limited anchor points to trace over the head and part of the neck of the copperhead.

Color Version
For this step, I used bright colored orange as the snake's main skin color and a shade of that color for some highlights for the implied scales. You can see that I used a shield to help with the logo to help it fit together more. I also figured out the name I wanted to use for the overall logo, the Arkansas Copperheads seemed to fit and is a simple name that I liked the most.
Complex Color
In this step, you can see I darkened the two oranges more and I also added in a glossy texture look for the shield to make the shield seem more realistic and to make the copperhead seem to come out of the background more.
Uniform Application
For my first application, I used a football player and added in the colors of my copperhead logo to make the jersey, gloves, and helmet the darker orange color. I also included my Copperheads symbol on the helmet to help complete the application.
Team Football Application
In my second application, I made this image of a football and included my symbol and the darker orange color to make it into the Arkansas Copperheads team's personal football.
Fan Clothing Application
For my final application, I created what the fan's hoodies would look like for the Arkansas Copperheads football team. I added in the name of the team on the back of the hoodie and made the color of the hoodie itself to the darker orange from my orginal logo.
