Recently, there have been shifts in schools towards traditionally core subjects (ScienceTechnologyEngineeringMath subject matter). However, what many fail to recognize or act upon, is that art fields are equally important to childhood development. PCAT has begun implementing programming and classes that teach all five educational spectrums, called “Full Steam Ahead”, adding art to the previously established STEM fields. Through my design, I highlighted the addition of the art field, illustrated the overlapping of two subject matters (science and art), and asked viewers to join the campaign, and help “put the a in steam”.
