This is just a small side project I did while in my graphic design class. I wanted to test my ability to create a design without sketching, planning, or suggestions from others without taking on a massive project.
Inspiration to create this was simple; I wanted a St. Louis Blues background. I also really like hunting, so logically I put the two together. I started off with just putting the “Blue Note” directly over the top of the camouflage backdrop, but it looked too boring. I changed the opacity down on the “Blue Note” and added some texture to it, which really gave it life. However, it was still too sharp. The final step was the missing key, I feathered the edge of the “Blue Note” to blend it in and make it look as though it is supposed to be there.
Above is one way this design could be utilized in the real world.
