Eastern International University, located at the new city of Bihn Duong, Binh Duong Vietnam is the first international university in Binh Duong province. It is not only designed based on sustainable environmental concept and regulation, but the master plan was also be concern about reducing gigantic mass of architecture and making overall space friendly in human-scale proportion. For dormitory, high, tall indigenous trees are implemented in many different layers of height to scale down height of dormitories. Students will feel more welcome and environmental when they come out of their dormitories.
Pedestrian walkway in front of students' dormitory is a combination of functional space ,rows of benches, and aesthetic landscape design, using height of indigenous tress to link overall landscape design. In other hand, different types of the trees will inform students different zoning or places they are going to.
Lawn and benches, located under trees will offer students an alternative space to use. Lawn will a space to sit and lay down for a tan bath suitable for Western students. Benches, under tress, will be offering a shade to sit, talk and socialize, suitable for Asian students.
Rear gate of the dormitories is designated green, lush tropical plants to create a continued landscape design from inside. Bicycle racks are provided at the each side of rear gate. Bicycle is encouraged to use as a major transportation on the campus.
