entire roof of the building, over 3,000 s.f. is habitable, permeable, and pleasurable.  two entertainment decks are surrounded with perennials and a grove of riverbirch trees.
the southern garden was developed into a "productive" roofscape, with raised vegetable beds, rows of shrubs, and a south-facing bank of solar water panels that pre-heat all of the domestic water for the building.
though not un-attractive, the back of the solar panels is shielded from view with a series of linear landscape elements, including a variety of hedges and a sitting bench.
