Balis'o

How can we maximize the potential of the plastic waste from fishing equipment?

Balis'o introduces a new line of recycled maritime buoys specifically designed for coastal zone marking. The base of these buoys is designed to accommodate various tops, allowing for easy adaptation to changing site requirements and simplifying element replacement. In beach and marina areas, there are typically five types of buoys: those guiding ships (port and starboard), mooring buoys, those marking the 300-meter outer edge, and those indicating bathing areas.

The primary goal is to modernize maritime equipment while addressing the critical issue of marine plastic waste. By using recycled plastic from marine fishing waste and locally manufacturing the buoys, the project promotes environmental sustainability throughout its life cycle. The approach reflects a positive mindset, focusing on responsible resource use and waste valorization to create durable, eco-friendly maritime equipment.
