A Semi-Detached House with a Modern Touch

Project background: The design team have to cooperate with the contractors, however we were responsible for all the built in cabinetry and design.
Project highlight: To refurbish the existing space in accordance to the proposed design.

Beginning of Design Stage
In the world of Elegant Living – a realm where luxury meets refinement, every detail exudes sophistication and grace.
The general mood exudes sophistication, elevate the senses, and redefine the meaning of elegance with timeless design to create spaces of comfort.
Ground Floor Plan
The living area is designed with a modern aesthetic, featuring a neutral color scheme with beige and white tones to bring a sense of warmth and brightness to the space. The luxurious marble flooring offers a sleek, reflective surface that enhances the light and sense of spaciousness.
The living area offers comfortable seating oriented towards the entertainment system to allow sufficient walking space around the furniture, ensuring that the space remains navigable and uncluttered even when hosting guests.
The dining area is situated near the kitchen, as shown in the floor plan, for efficient serving of meals and enhances the interaction between the spaces. The dining area exudes a contemporary and elegant atmosphere, characterized by a cohesive color scheme.
A large, rectangular dining table centered in the space is surrounded by stylish chairs that offer comfortable seating for a group. Above the dining table hangs a pendant light, which serves as a statement piece that draws attention to the dining area.
The sideboard features a dark wood finish, which contrasts with the lighter tones of the room, making it a focal point for storing dining essentials and display. The glass door cabinetry allows resident to display decorative items or a curated collection that can serve as conversation starters to enhance the dining experience.
The kitchen layout is efficient for maximizing space and creating a good work triangle between the sink, stove, and refrigerator, enhancing the cook's movement.
The color scheme is neutral, with the cabinetry finished in a dark wood veneer, which contrasts with the light-colored countertops and flooring, it contributes to a contemporary yet warm aesthetic. The backsplash is minimal matching the countertop, giving the space a cohesive look.
The design includes built-in appliances, such as the oven and refrigerator, which are integrated into the cabinetry for a sleek and uncluttered look.
First Floor Plan
The master bedroom features a modern minimalist design with clean lines and a neutral color scheme. The prominent use of wood in the platform design bed frame and bedside tables add warmth to the space. The under-bed storage is utilized for extra bedding or seldom-used items, to ensure unwanted items are stored to avoid any clutter within the space.
The built-in wardrobe, with a combination of shelves, and drawers, providing a variety of storage options while maintaining the clean and cohesive look of the room. It is designed with a mix of functionality and aesthetics, as seen in the image with a TV mounted above it, indicating a dual-purpose use of the space for both storage and entertainment.
The master bathroom uses a neutral color scheme that includes various shades of beige and brown, creates a soothing atmosphere. The vanity is designed with practicality in mind, featuring built-in storage that keeps towels and other essentials neatly organized and easily accessible.
The large mirror with LED light underneath further enhance the look and make the space look more spacious. It is strategically placed to provide adequate illumination without being overly harsh or direct. These elements work together to create a bathroom that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, emphasizing comfort, tranquility, and a modern lifestyle.
The bedroom presents a contemporary design with an emphasis on soft, curved lines, as seen in the headboard and arched ceiling feature. The use of neutral color scheme with various shades of white and cream enhances the sense of serenity and space.
The dresser area continues the room's modern aesthetic with a sleek vanity setup. The round mirror and the cylindrical stool echo the room's curvilinear theme while its countertop and cabinetry flush against the wall, providing a seamless look.
The wardrobe space is characterized by a clean and organized design, utilizing a neutral color scheme that complements the bedroom. The cabinetry is modern, with a mix of glass door shelving, drawers and closed storage.
Second Floor Plan
The bedroom adopts a neutral color scheme with white walls and cabinetry, creating a sense of calm and spaciousness. The use of light wood for the flooring adds warmth to the room, creating a cozy atmosphere.
The design includes ample storage with built-in wardrobes and overhead cabinets that utilize the vertical space efficiently. Wall-mounted bedside lamps provide focused lighting for reading, while the large windows allow for plenty of natural light during the day.
The positioning of the desk by the window takes advantage of the natural light for tasks that require focus. The large windows appear to have minimal window treatment, which maximizes the view of the courtyard and the entry of natural light. This connection to the outdoors can be refreshing and uplifting for the room's occupants.
