QIC Watergardens Gaming Content

QIC Watergardens Shopping Centre wanted to design an experience that would give visitors a reason to stay and play, thereby activating the space, drawing more customers to new stores in the vicinity, and sparking joy and social connection.

Our solution was a one of its kind social gaming hub. We designed 2 bespoke game packs (6 games in total) and 2 gaming zones that consisted of an interactive drum-like console connected to a huge curved LED screen, and a gesture-activated interactive pillar. It was important for us to make sure the that the gestures were intuitive and the experience was inclusive and easy to understand for a wide audience.

The two game packs were interchangeable and as distinct from each other as night and day. The 'Streetball' game pack is inspired by street games, the bold and eclectic urban street culture and celebrates diversity, individuality and self-expression. While the the 'Beat Blast' game pack is a music based game pack that captures the electrifying energy of night life with neon and tech noir aesthetics.

I worked on the concept, game design, UI/UX design, illustrations and graphics for all six bespoke games. We then collaborated with a 3D artist, animator, sound designer and developer to bring the games to life.

This project was done at Tkm9 group in collaboration with QIC Watergardens.
