As a part of my under graduation final year project, I worked on this project as an effort to bring forward multiple versions of Ramayana to show the rich storytelling tradition. Just like how the epic has made space for new ideologies and birthed new versions to make space for new thoughts and people, this publication reinterprets the known reality to make space for all different colours of Ramayana to coexist harmoniously.
A long research journey helped define and contextualize the project greatly. Understanding the social developments, cultural influences and ideologies of Kings and religious leaders of the time helped understand the versions of Ramayana and trace them back to main reinterpretation. In total, 4 plot points across 5 versions were selected to realize the brief.
