The causes of global warming and the current heatwave in Bangladesh are complex and interconnected. Deforestation releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, contributing to climate change. Plastics, from production to disposal, emit greenhouse gases, with significant environmental and economic costs. Skyscrapers with glass exacerbate urban heat islands, while improper waste disposal releases methane and other greenhouse gases, further worsening climate change. Rising temperatures, driven by factors like population growth and urbanization, are melting glaciers and altering weather patterns. Inadequate mitigation efforts and adaptation strategies worsen the impacts of climate change, amplifying feedback loops and leading to more severe heatwaves.
