Shaxi Town, located in Jianchuan County, Dali City, Yunnan Province, CHINA. It's an ancient town with a long history and an important node on the Ancient Tea Horse Road. It also serves as a large settlement area for the Bai ethnic group in Yunnan, and has a unique traditional Bai culture. The town has attracted many travel enthusiasts and literary youths to visit and stay in the town because of the Pioneer Bookstore and the 2023 TV series out of the circle.
Taking this opportunity, I am interested in the brand communication value of Shaxi Ancient Town, and at the same time, the town's has not had its own town image for the time being, combined with China's rural revitalisation strategy. So I independently completed a set of Shaxi Ancient Town's visual image, the project includes visual identity, visual application, promotional materials, guide design and so on. The project incorporates a variety of traditional elements, including calligraphy, Chinese painting and traditional cultural symbols of the Yunnan Bai people, with distinctive Chinese colours.
