This part of my process involved researching Mike Cachagee's biography as well as studying the impact of residential schools on indigenous population in Canada. 

This was a delicate project where it was important to take in account the legacy of an important figure who fought for social justice for their community as well as anchoring the identity of the university and the city of Sault Ste-Marie. 

I ultimately came out with 3 different design iterations and we ended up choosing the 3rd option for the magazine article.
