This piece was done as an infographic on the benefits of Walkable Urbanism, a type of city planning and design. It aims to educate the viewer, convincing them of the economic, safety, and social benefits of walkable urbanism.
I aimed to give the illustration and font choice a street art feel to them, with grungy textures, angular & attention grabbing fonts and colors, and funky drawings. City planning and infographics can come off as dry subjects, so using a style linked to the people these changes would affect most helps reach the audience and add an artistic dimension to the piece.
Focus was put on leading the eye neatly through the piece. A main aim was to make certain that the illustration and info both got across to their fullest extent, not needing to compromise one for the other.
