The objective of this project is to develop an immersive and interactive virtual reality (VR) walkthrough experience for an apartment. The walkthrough will allow users to explore the apartment, change materials for walls, floors, and kitchen surfaces, select different furniture pieces, and interact with various elements such as opening doors of furniture and curtains. The aim is to provide potential residents or clients with a realistic and customizable preview of the apartment's interior design and layout.
Key Features:

1. Interactive Exploration: Users will be able to navigate freely through the virtual apartment using VR controllers or headset controls, providing a sense of presence and immersion.

2. Material Customization: Users can change the materials and textures of walls, floors, and kitchen surfaces in real-time, allowing them to visualize different design options and color schemes.

3. Furniture Selection: A catalog of furniture items will be available for users to choose from, including sofas, tables, chairs, beds, and more. Users can select and place furniture pieces within the virtual apartment according to their preferences.

4. Furniture Interaction: Users can interact with furniture elements by opening doors, drawers, and cabinets to examine interior storage spaces and functionalities.

5. Curtain Interaction: Users can open and close curtains in the virtual apartment to control lighting conditions and privacy levels, enhancing the realism of the environment.
Technical Requirements:

VR Development Platform: The project was developed using Unity. Unity provides robust tools and libraries for creating immersive VR experiences and ensures compatibility with various VR hardware devices.

3D Modeling and Texturing: High-quality 3D models of the apartment interior, furniture items, and interactive elements were created using Blender, with detailed textures and materials for realistic rendering.

Interactivity Implementation: Custom scripting and programming are developed to enable interactive features within the VR environment. Using Unity's C# scripting language, interactive functionalities such as material customization, furniture selection, and object manipulation (e.g., opening doors, drawers) are implemented.

Optimization for Performance: Optimization techniques were employed to ensure smooth performance and frame rates, minimizing latency and motion sickness issues for a comfortable VR experience.
