A CRM Solution for HR/Recruiters
UX Benchmarking.
To shape our upcoming product, I started by digging into UX benchmarks. By studying what's already out there, I pinpointed the essentials and commonalities. This helped set the baseline for our product's must-have features and user experience.
User Interview.
I kicked off my exploration on LinkedIn, tapping into my network of HR professionals and recruiters within different IT companies. Reading through their posts, I could sense the real struggles and challenges they were facing. Armed with these insights, I crafted hypotheses for my user interview script. Following a test interview, I refined the script for greater effectiveness.
User Personas.
Based on the interviews, I identified two personas within our target audience: Ann, an In-house HR professional, and Mary, a Freelance Recruiter. Each persona includes essential details such as their background, notable quotes from the interviews, specific needs and goals, pain points, and motivations.
Journey Map.
Embarking on Ann and Mary's professional journeys, I crafted a comprehensive journey map detailing their goals, pain points, processes at each step, and the questions they posed. This strategic approach allowed me to identify key opportunities and define distinct phases for optimal user experience.
JTBD.
Building on the journey map, I formulated Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) to guide our actions. This is also helpful for the further creation of epics and user needs.
The same steps were undertaken for Mary.
User-flow.
Creating user flows aids in guiding users through the steps necessary to achieve their goals. In Ann's case, I focused on the 'Receiving a Hiring Task' and 'Managing a Vacancy' phases. Additionally, I sketched a low-level interface to gain a preliminary understanding, facilitating the subsequent wireframing process.
Sitemap.
I mapped out our product's sitemap to make sure it's user-friendly. It gives the users a clear roadmap through the app, ensuring they find what they need effortlessly. This visual guide helps us organize content, refine the user experience, and create a seamless journey.
Wireframe & UI.
In this step, I began with the wireframe and initiated the creation of components. To enhance flexibility, I employed the atomic design approach, wherein components are constructed using atoms, molecules, and organisms.
To maintain consistency, my local styles incorporate various text styles such as Menu, Heading, and Regular Text, along with color styles featuring shades like black, blue, red, green, etc. These styles were then applied in crafting the UI.
