MẠ is a big assignment about branding and illustration. Our team developed the Vietnamese board game brand called MẠ as part of this large assignment. The first project of MẠ is a playing card design inspired by the Vietnamese religion called Four Palaces (Tứ Phủ). Four artists with 4 different art backgrounds and styles collaborated to illustrate different characters of Four Palaces, representing fire, earth, water, and air.

My main task was to research and illustrate 3 characters from the Water Palace consisting of Imperial Father of the Water Palace, The Third Dame, and the Venerable Mandarin of the Water Palace. I also played a role in designing the backcard in this project.
