Chesapeake Waters Brewing Company

A group project, we had the concept of creating a micro-brewery along a mile-long site located on what used to be Titan Energy Park in Bellefonte, PA. Using regional influences for materials and our beer itself, our brewery consists of brick, steel, copper, glass, and most importantly, water. The site mimics that of the brewing process itself, as it starts with an agricultural center to grow the local ingredients, followed by the brewing process in the brewery building, and ends with bi-product storage/greenhouses. Our sustainable strategies revolve around the available water as it is used in the brewing process, as passive cooling, closed-loop heating, and grey water re-use.
