BPAVILION 01 : BRISBANE'S INTERACTIVE PAVILION

Title: Interactive Pavilion at Redacliff Place: Bridging Heritage and Community Engagement
The Brisbane Pavilion for Architectural Ventures (BPAV) emerged as a pivotal project during my inaugural year of pursuing a minor in architecture. The primary objective of the assignment was to conceive a temporary pavilion situated at Redacliff Place in the heart of Brisbane's Central Business District. In response to this challenge, I proposed an innovative and interactive pavilion design, where users could actively organize and engage with movable structures comprising the pavilion. The overarching aim was to foster increased community interactions and deepen the local community's involvement with the historical space. Drawing inspiration from the works of the renowned Australian artist Howard Arkley, celebrated for his impeccable depictions of Australian suburban architecture, the project sought to seamlessly integrate art, architecture, and heritage, creating a dynamic space that not only showcased aesthetic brilliance but also served as a platform for communal connection and appreciation of cultural heritage.
