I designed this cover for the NYU School of Professional Studies 2014 bulletin.
Cover Concept
The Fall 2014 bulletin cover celebrates the 80th anniversary
of the NYU School of Professional Studies and features
the cover art that has graced eight decades of this beloved
publication. Some of the most gifted and sought-after
designers in the world—Peter Max and Milton Glaser among
them—have lent their creative talents to providing the colors,
the concepts, and the communication that have made these
covers a reflection of the times.
The incorporation of the covers honors the School’s rich
history, yet the digital and fluid nature of the design
acknowledges and embraces a future that recognizes
and welcomes sweeping change for the School and for
education at large.

Cover Process
I scanned the covers from the school's previous bulletins (from 1934 to 2014) and retouched the individual covers in Adobe Photoshop. I then created a grid of covers that cohesively formed the number "80" in Adobe InDesign....brought the "80 grid" back to Adobe Photoshop and transformed it into a dynamic 3-D structure.
As a freelance designer at New York University, I designed the cover, inside cover, insert, TOC, divider pages and layout (in collaboration with the design team at the NYU School of Professional Studies) for the Fall 2014 NYU School of Professional Studies Bulletin. The comprehensive program lists descriptions for courses, certificates, and degrees, and provides registration information for prospective students. The bulletin is designed in Adobe InDesign and the graphics were created in Adobe Photoshop.
